Scientific research

In the field of research, the candidacy committee works on the definition of those elements that give the architecture and paintings of Terrassa their Outstanding Universal Value (OUV).

This research is headed by Terrassa City Council, with the support of Terrassa Museum, Barcelona Autonomous University, the Institute of Classical Archaeology, the Antoni Gaudí Faculty, the Advisory Council and the Scientific Committee.

In 2018 the Catalan Classical Archaeology Institute conducted a process of 3D documentation of the Churches of Sant Pere in Terrassa. The project received collaboration from the projects HAR2012-36963, DGPC-2014/100748, and Terrassa Museum.

Historical basilicas seminar
On 13 and 14 May, the Antoni Gaudí Faculty was the venue for the sixth "Historical Basilicas of Barcelona" Seminar dedicated to the See of Egara: "The basilicas of the episcopal See of Egara: centre and periphery". The gathering brought together professionals of established standing from a range of disciplines (archaeology, art history, history, anthropology, liturgy), to highlight the distinctive features of the See of Egara.
